hidethemilk I think it's impossible to be in a bad mood while listening to Alestorm. So many of these songs are obnoxiously clever and humorous yet also motivating to break from everyday routines, find a ship, couple cannons, pallets of rum, and go plunder around the Caribbean. Favorite track: P.A.R.T.Y..

Eye Rah Jay Return To Tortuga is actually what I would select as my fave track, but BandCamp isn't letting me choose it. THANKS SHITTY EPIC.

hanchogrande A solid mix of high octane and damn silly tracks - loved the whole thing. It's hard to pick a specific track to love because some are serious and others just catchy as hell. Favorite track: Magellan's Expedition.

Oh wow! It’s time to put on your pirate hat and inflate your rubber ducks, because the world-famous Pirate Metal Drinking Crew ALESTORM, have just set sail on a new voyage with their seventh studio album, Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum! Produced once again by their long-time co-conspirator Lasse Lammert, this epic swashbuckling adventure is set for release on June 24, 2022 via Napalm Records.

The band spent two years during the lockdown going insane and frantically dredging up the craziest pirate metal anthems from their treasure chest of ideas, and have created the most epic and serious (yes, serious) sounding Alestorm album you’ve ever heard. From the symphonic choir-powered “Magellan’s Expedition” which tells the tale of Ferdinand Magellan’s historical circumnavigation of the earth in 1522, to the rousing anthem “Under Blackened Banners” which features intense technical riffing and exquisite solo duels, “Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum” is a real throwback to the early days of “Captain Morgan’s Revenge”. But fans of the modern Alestorm sound need not worry either – there’s plenty of party mood in the aptly-named future hit song “P.A.R.T.Y.”, and the high speed insane folk metal banger “Cannonball” has the most ridiculous and offensive lyrics you’ve ever heard in a pirate metal song (it makes “Fucked With an Anchor” sound tame).

Once again the band are joined by a whole host of guest musicians, including repeat appearances from the hurdy-gurdy of Patty Gurdy, the vocals of Captain Yarrface from RUMAHOY, the violin playing of Ally Storch from SUBWAY TO SALLY, majestic choirs from HELLSCORE, plus some familiar Spanish and Japanese vocalists in the final installment of the Wooden Leg Saga. Most importantly, the album features the world’s first use of a fried egg as an instrument in a metal song, expertly played by Matt Cockram. But wait, there’s more! As an extra special treat for the die-hard collector fans, some special editions come with a full acoustic rendition of the entire album, and there’s even a legendary version of the album FOR DOGS once again.
